My team and I chose the cyberbullying aspect of cyber wellness because the team has found that Singapore has the second highest cyberbullying rate in Singapore. Our research also showed that many victims of cyberbullying are reluctant to tell somebody out of fear and embarrassment.

 

As such, the proposal will be surrounding the theme of self-help – teaching the bullies and victims to make themselves feel better and ultimately, gaining the courage to tell someone of authority like a teacher or their parents.

 

This proposal will cover our proposed event as well as other campaign suggestions that surround our theme.

The proposal was ranked among the top 6 in the entire cohort and my team and I were given the opportunity to go to Google's Singapore headquarters and present our proposal to them personally.
